WRVC Students Provide 34 Thanksgiving Food Baskets!
With the short window of time the original goal was to gather enough food to fill 20 boxes. However, with the effort and generosity of both students and staff all expectations were exceeded. The students from each program brought in enough food to fill 34 Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets. Each basket has; a turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes, squash, olives, juice, gravy, pie crust, pie filling, canned vegetables, beans, pickles, a box of quick bread and a box of macaroni and cheese.
These baskets will be distributed to the schools and food pantry’s the WRVC serves; Bonny Eagle (SAD 6), Gorham, Scarborough, Westbrook and Windham (RSU 14). Thanks to our students, families in each of these communities will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving day meal!
Happy Thanksgiving from all the Students and Staff at Westbrook Regional Vocational Center!
