Retail/Marketing Management

This course is for students who have successfully completed Retail Operations/Marketing. Students will learn the management functions involved in managing a successful school based enterprise. This course will provide students with a deeper understanding of economics, promotion, selling and management. Students will continue to participate in the daily operation of the school store while performing management duties such as; training, scheduling, buying, pricing, inventory control, and planning promotional activities. On-the-job training in the School Store is integrated into the class instruction component.

Prerequisite: Retail/Marketing Operations

E. Commerce/Marketing

E-Commerce, explores the tremendous growth of business via the Internet and Social Medias. Students will learn how to plan and market electronic business products and online services. Topics include: basic marketing foundations, what is E-Commerce and E-Retailing, information technology, cybercrime, legal and ethical issues, virtual vs. face to face customer relationships, and product and service planning. Students will apply their knowledge through the operation and management of an On-line School Store.

Prerequisite: Retail/Marketing Operations
