It’s Hammer time; Rotary House is on the rise
Tech 1 and 2 Building Trades students have been taking advantage of the weather. The exterior walls are up, the basement floor has been poured and the trusses were put in place last week with the help of Cote Corporation Crane Service of Auburn. Next up, sheathing the trusses, trimming the facia and rakes with shingling to follow. Summer is coming, seniors will be graduating, which does not leave much time left to button the site up for summer break. When students return in the fall, they will install the windows, doors and interior walls. Electrical students will rough in the receptacles, switches and boxes for lighting. Insulation and sheet rock will be followed with interior trim, doors and flooring.
Special thanks to the Westbrook Gorham Rotary for their 60 years of supporting WRVC students. Through this partnership many students have developed skills which has prepared them for a career and to be contributing members of our communities.
